Assisted Preaching
The teeners in German are pretty easy as they follow the single digits. Take a look:
10 - zehn (pretty close to "ten" if you remember that z in German at times gets replaced by a t in EN)
11 - elf (does that word remind you of something?)
12 - zwölf (z=t so you see the similarity to EN?)
From now on it gets even simpler:
13 - drei.zehn
14 - vier.zehn
15 - fünf.zehn
16 - sech.zehn (the "sechs" lost an -s)
17 - sieb.zehn (the "sieben" lost an -en)
18 - acht.zehn
19 - neun.zehn
The higher numbers we'll tackle in the next lesson. Make sure to listen to them a few times while reading and speaking along before moving on to the Preaching.
Simply read the numbers shown to you on the our Preaching Tool.
Try to speak slowly, more articulated and use an external microphone e.g. a headset.
