There will be moments when you feel overwhelmed or stuck — and that's actually a good sign. It means you're growing. But if the pain becomes too strong, you are at risk of giving it all up. Here's my advise, the essence of 25+ years of learning and teaching languages: Don't. And let me and other learners support you. Here's how.

Join the SG Community

  1. Go to community.smartergerman.com (bookmark this in case you can't access the Community via your course)
  2. Log in with your Teachable account
  3. Take a look around, especially the left sidebar and check out Onboarding, Resources and Motivation
  4. Post in the INBOX or Motivation channels for your fellow learners to see and respond
  5. I'll moderate the community to keep it safe but won't personally answer German learning questions unless you're a personal support member

* For legal reasons — I kid you not — I must keep online courses and personal support separate. The community is therefore peer-to-peer support where learners help each other.
