This only works for conditional subclauses (Bedingungssätze) and not with other kind of subclauses or ,as we call them at sG, pusher sentences. E.g. you can’t shorten:

I | Weil er nicht schnell genug arbeitet, möchte ihn sein Chef feuern.
Because he doesn’t work fast enough, his boss wants to fire him.

→ Arbeitet er nicht schnell genug, möchte ihn sein Chef feuern.
[When/If] he doesn’t work fast enough, his boss wants to fire him.

While that last sentence somehow still makes sense, it is a completely different message than that of the the weil-sentence.

Answer to the examples above

G | Wenn man nicht immer die Reihenfolge überlegen muss, spart man Zeit.
→ Muss man nicht immer die Reihenfolge überlegen, spart man Zeit.

H | Wenn man zu früh aufgibt, kommt man nie ans Ziel.
→ Gibt man zu früh auf, kommt man nie ans Ziel.
