Preaching - Warm-up

DURATION: 20-30 MINS

In order to do the Preaching and to speak correct German you will have to know your articles. You are now familiar with the Superhero Technique and can practice it in every Preaching warm up (if the Preaching contains any nouns).

This is not about remembering the German meaning of those words. All you got to do is to remember that a chair in German is of (m)asculine gender. In the early Preachings you'll always find an English translation. If you don't see a translation it means that you have worked with that word before and should know it's gender already. Don't worry if you realize that you have "forgotten" a gender. Simply quickly look it up with your DeepL Desktop app by adding "the" in front of it and do the Superhero Technique on it. To look up the gender of "Auto" you'd enter "the car" or even "the auto" into deepl and it'll show you "das Auto" which means that it's neuter (n).

Learning Tip

It is much easier for most learners to imagine things with closed eyes. Of course, you need to have them open to read the stories which means you read one or two sentences first and then close your eyes to imagine what you've just read.
