Whether I like her or not, Helene Fischer, a German born in the former USSR, is one of the most successful singer in Germany. The genre is a very German one called "Schlager" with tendencies towards "Volksmusik". Those are difficult to compare with other more international genres. But you'll get the idea once you've listened to a few of such songs ;)

By the way: Due to copyright reasons I never add lyrics to these lessons. But you could either try and activate the subtitles of these videos or simply google "lyrics + name of song" and you shall find the lyrics often even with translation. I'll try to provide you with different kinds of German music in my courses. If you find one that resonates with you, check out what else there is out there.
