Dictation 1

The Dictation Technique is a very powerful learning tool. When you transcribe what you hear you train many skills at once. In order to benefit fully from this technique, I'll remind you of everything that's important again and again. Here is how this works for now:

Tutorial

  1. Play the audio, listen to 2-5 words.Pause and THEN write. Never write WHILE listening.
  2. No need to write the full text ever. If (!) this is hard work for you, you can start with 3 sentences.
  3. Don't rewind. If you don't get a word, simply leave a gap.
  4. When done, listen again and fill gaps, fix obvious mistakes.
  5. Click COMPARE and notice your mistakes. Less than 15 mistakes means write a bit more next lesson (!).
  6. Listen one more time and read along your writing.
  7. Repeat all of the above once.
