Manual Preaching

Let's work on the 3rd persons singular (ihn / es / sie) in Accusative for now. In the first sentence you ask a simple question that you have practiced in your former preachings. Then you will answer by only using the 3rd person singular personal pronouns: "ihn - es - sie". Here a quick overview of the personal pronouns:

The Nominativ turns into this form in Akkusativ
ich (=I) turns into mich (=me)
du (=you) turns into dich (=you)
er (=he) turns into ihn (=him)
es (=it) stays es (=it)
sie (=she) stays sie (=her)

wir (=we) turns into uns (=us)
ihr (=you plural) turns into euch (=you plural)
sie (=they) stays sie (=them)
Sie (=formal you Sir/madam) stays Sie (=formal you Sir/madam)

Have a look at the examples below. The adjective is always "toll" (=fantastic) and the verb is always "mögen" (=to like) with the forms:

ich mag - I like
du magst - you like

If the adjective is causing you stress, just ignore it. The main focus here is on those Personal Pronouns in accusative.

Pattern
A: Magst du mein- + toll- + trigger?
B: Tut mir leid, aber ich mag ihn / es / sie nicht.
A: Warum magst du ihn / es / sie denn nicht?
B: Weil ich ihn / es / sie einfach nicht leiden kann.

Triggers

  1. Freund - (boy)friend
  2. Freundin - (girl)friend
  3. Pferd - horse
  4. Auto - car
  5. Wohnung - appartement
  6. Frisur - haircut
  7. Look - look
  8. Hund - dog
  9. Gemälde - painting
  10. Kaktus - cactus

If the text Speechnotes transcribed is different by a lot from the transcription below, don't worry about it. You will do this a couple more times and you will see an improvement. If Speechnotes doesn't understand you, try to speak slowly, more articulated and use an external microphone e.g. a headset.
